Logo Artwork for Promotional Products: A Preparation Guide

Prepare a clear logo file and a useful brief for printing or engraving on branded merchandise.

Send the best original file you have

Vector artwork can retain clear edges when resized, which is useful for many logo applications. PDF files can contain either vector or bitmap artwork, so the file extension alone does not establish quality. Our enquiry form accepts PDF, PNG and JPG; email AI, EPS, SVG or larger files.

Check fine details at the proposed size

A design that looks clear on a screen may be too detailed for a pen barrel or a small keyring. Review small lettering, narrow lines and spaces at the intended print size. We can advise on simplifying the layout for the available product position.

Explain colour requirements

Provide brand colour references if consistency matters. Spot-colour printing, digital printing and engraving produce different finishes. Screen colours and product photographs are illustrative; your approved artwork and agreed specification guide production.

Consider the background

A logo can disappear against a similar product colour. Tell us whether a reversed or single-colour version is permitted. PNG transparency can help with an online preview, but the production file still needs to suit the selected method.

Approve the actual proof

Check spelling, logo version, print dimensions, position, orientation and colours. The product page preview is a planning tool. Production follows the agreed order details and artwork approval.
